Thanksgiving day 2015 in Hopetown, Abaco started out very blustery with an extreme high tide due to the recent full moon. Runners from all over the island converged onto the Hummingbird Gallery for the 8:00 am check in and the 8:30 am start.
The Runners and Walkers numbered into the hundreds and the entire scene was very high energy and festive. As the 8:30 am start approached the runners lined up on the starting line in front of the gallery. The official starter blew the horn and the group took off on the route that takes them through Hopetown all the way around the north end of the island.

The top male runner was Rusty Heise from Connecticut with a time of 22:44. The Top female was Nicole Barnes of Perdido Key, FL with a time of 24:47 and the top Junior was John-Paul Hughes (son of Nicole Barnes) also form Perdido Key, FL with a time of 22:43.
